It is generally possible to use the app without providing personal data. If personal data (e.g. name, address or email address) is collected in our app, this is always done on a voluntary basis as far as possible. We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
All personal data, including your study plan, is stored locally on your device. This ensures that you retain full control over your information. If you choose not to publish your study plan as a template, or use the recommendations algorithm, it will not be accessible or shared with any external parties.
The Google service Firestore is used for the course database, as well as the templates. You can find more information about the service’s data processing in Google’s Privacy Policy.
If you opt to use the Recommendations Algorithm feature, your current study plan will be securely transmitted to our backend server via HTTPS. This transmission is necessary to process your study plan and provide personalized recommendations. However, your data will not be stored on our servers. Once the recommendation process is complete, your study plan is discarded and not retained in any form.
To improve the stability and performance of the application, we use Google Crashlytics, a crash reporting tool provided by Google. Crashlytics collects anonymized data about app crashes, such as error logs, device information (e.g., operating system version, device model), and app usage patterns leading to the crash. This data is used solely for identifying and fixing issues in the app to provide you with a better user experience. No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected or stored during this process. For more details on how Google handles this data, please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy.
We use Simple Analytics as a privacy-friendly tracking and analytics tool to better understand how our app is being used. Simple Analytics collects only essential, anonymized data such as page views, device types, and browser versions. No personal data, such as IP addresses, is tracked or stored.
